Off we go...

The day has finally arrived!  71 Jewish teens and 4 staff members arrived at DIA ready for the next step in their Jewish journey.  After going through very smooth check-in, we gathered together for our picture, group ceremony and then clergy from around the area blessed students and provided some wisdom & advice for the teens.  And then...we were off...Or so we thought...Everyone enthusiastically arrived at our gate preparing to start our adventure.  Our 1 hour at the gate soon became 4 hours before our plane arrive.  It was a blessing in disguise as the students had some quality time with each other to get to know fellow participants, play games, get something to eat, jam on the guitar and just enjoy each other's company.  We finally boarded the plane to head to Frankfurt, Germany where we then walked from one end of the airport to the other in order to catch our re-booked connecting flight.  We finally arrived in Krakow Poland, ate a wonderful dinner together and relaxed at the hotel.  Tomorrow will be a very serious day as we will be walking around Krakow & seeing the Jewish quarter, but also visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau which will be an intense & emotional experience.  After over 25 hours of airport, buses, etc it's time to get some rest!!  Here....we....go...
